What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Certain visitors to Mor.Kitchen may choose to interact with Mor.Kitchen in ways that require Mor.Kitchen to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Mor.Kitchen gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who contribute recipes to provide a name and email address.
In each case, Mor.Kitchen collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Mor.Kitchen. Mor.Kitchen would not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
All of the information that is collected on Mor.Kitchen will be handled in accordance with GDPR legislation.
How do we protect personal data we collect
Mor.Kitchen may disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information to process it on Mor.Kitchen’s behalf or to provide services available through Mor.Kitchen, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Mor.Kitchen, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
Mor.Kitchen may not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone.
If you have supplied your email address, Mor.Kitchen may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, new products, provide recipes and updates in the community.
If you send us a request (for example by email), we reserve the right to publish it to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Mor.Kitchen takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
How do we use personal information
We use the information you provide to register for an account, attend our events, receive newsletters, use certain other services, or participate in the Mor.Kitchen community in any other way.
We will not sell or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
We would like to send you email marketing communication which may be of interest to you from time to time. If you have consented to marketing, you may opt out later.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
We rely on one or more of the following processing conditions for personal information:
- our legitimate interests in the effective delivery of information and services to you;
- explicit consent that you have given;
- legal obligations.
How long we retain your data
We will retain your personal information on our systems only for as long as we need to, for the success of the Mor.Kitchen community, projects and the programs that support Mor.Kitchen. We keep contact information (such as mailing list information) until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information from our live systems.
If you choose to unsubscribe from a mailing list, we may keep certain limited information about you so that we may honor your request. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or click unsubscribe from a previously received message.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you visit our page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
If you edit or publish a recipe, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of your recipe you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites

What rights you have over your data
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all your personal information, please follow the instructions at the end of this section.
If you would like to request access to your account data or delete account or associated data, please email: email@example.com.
